Upcoming Sessions:

September 9, 2017 – There’s an App for That! (Maya Woodall)
Description: This session focuses on easy ways to engage, support, and challenge student writers using tablets and/or BYOT. Various tools will be presented, and participants will have the opportunity to explore ways to use these tools in their own classrooms.

October 14, 2017 – Place-Based Writing or How to Become a Transcendentalist (Chrissy Harris)
Description: Using excerpts from Walden by Henry David Thoreau and nature observations, students use place to write with authenticity and real purpose.

November 11, 2017 – Student Writing Hacks (MaryAnn Stillerman)
Description: Favorite go-to student strategies for facing the blank page and making revision a routine. A middle school teacher shares strategies she’s curated and created with take-and-go mini-lessons, anchor charts, mentor text, and resources for supporting creative and critical thinking through writing.

$25 per session (bring a friend for additional $15)
$60 for 3 sessions
