Poetry and Prose"
Summer Writing Camp
Looking for a fun, educational activity for your budding writer this summer? “On the Street Where You Live” is a specially designed week-long camp to interest students in middle grades and keep them excited about creative thinking and the writing process.
Activities will include: poetry exploration, composing personal vignettes and place maps, creating memoirs, and publishing work online for classroom critique and appreciation. This summer we will be housed on the campus of Kennesaw Mountain High School. The camp will run from 8:30 - 12:30pm, Monday, June 9th to conclude on Friday, June 13th with performances of the students’ original pieces for an audience of family and friends.
Why should you choose KMWP Writing Camp as one of your child's summer experiences?
All instructors are certified English teachers currently teaching in GA.
Our writing curriculum is aligned with the Georgia Performance Standards.
Guest writers work with students on activities.
KMHS is conveniently located for Cobb, Paulding, and Cherokee residents.
